Become a Finish Line Supporter!

We are seeking supporters who understand the importance of encouraging health and fitness as a way of life and providing people with a venue to accomplish their personal goals.

Why the Mill Race Race & Mayor’s Walk?

  1. It is the most established and the largest running/walking event in Bartholomew County – over 720 people finished in 2008.
  2. We expect an annual increase of 10% as we continue to improve race amenities, which already include a pasta dinner, great post-race recovery area, custom race medals, etc.
  3. We are proud to be a partner with Changing Footprints for the fourth year – a non-profit organization that provides footwear for people in disaster areas or third-world communities.
  4. We have events for all levels of athletes and ages. This is a family-friendly race.
  5. Awareness of the event continues to increase as we aggressively market regionally; our vision is to become a destination event drawing participants from the around the Midwest.
  6. 15K races are popular with runners who are in training for half or full marathons; our September date is attractive as several nationally recognized marathons are held within 30 days after our event.
  7. We are working with the Columbus Area Arts Council and their Iron Pour to make the race a part of a weekend full of experiences.

Sponsorship can take many forms – a customized program can be created to meet your needs.

Several opportunities are available including supporting the event like sponsoring mile markers, Kids Fun Run, racer packet inserts, etc.

For information on these and other opportunities, product sampling, or being a vendor at the finish line, contact Joyce Lucke at info@millracerace.org or 812-390-6912.

We encourage all participants to support and patronize our sponsors.
